Georgia Medical Center's Respiratory Department is pleased to offer quality
patient care in a compassionate, comfortable environment. We offer the
following services to our community and physicians.
Services
Provided:
Pulmonary Function Testing - Tests performed include spirometry, diffusing
capacity, residual volume, closing volumes, total thoracic gas volumes.
Studies can be performed before or after administration of a bronchodilator
to quantitate the reversibility of airway obstruction. Blood gases can
be measured during exercise to evaluate hypoxemia during exertion.

Sleep
Disorder Lab:
North Georgia Medical Center's Sleep Disorders Lab provides evaluations
for patients suffering form potentially serious medical conditions such
as sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, loud snoring and restless legs syndrome.
Overnight
sleep testing is provided with state-of-the art technology by trained
technologists in a caring and friendly environment. Interpretations of
sleep patterns and recommendations help patients prevent serious conditions
during rest.

Outpatient Services:
Procedures may be scheduled by calling the Respiratory Department at (706)
276-4741, ext. 264. Patients must be scheduled in advance for out-patient
testing.
